If you know me or my friends we are not your run of the mill group of ladies.
It was an ordinary Saturday. I woke up, went to the couch and relaxed with my blanket and laptop to surf the net for a few before starting my errands. Today I had plans with my future sister-in-law, Carrie. We went for a Mary Kay facial/make up session. Love those sessions, because I always forget all of these little tips and tricks that these lovely ladies teach me. So that was fun.
I’ll fast forward past the meltdown that was happening with Nabil on the other end of the phone while I was wrapping up the appointment. All I know is I really hope all works out because I know that all involved are being affected by what is happening. Fingers crossed.
We then go to our cell phone provider and get some new cell phones. Nice…..My sister texts me, and she wants to do lunch. I tell her to talk to my driver. They coordinate and once we finally finish with the phones, we are on our way for sushi. YUM!
We walk in and surprise! HA HA on me, it’s my shower. These lovely ladies schemed and planned this devious little plan to surprise me. Even though they did it a little too well, I guess I was late, leaving some of them to their own devices with bottles of wine and sake. It was a nice small party, just as I had asked of the girls a long time ago. It was great to see the people that I haven’t seen in some time due to me being so busy and hibernating.
So as the party winded down, it was decided that we should then go to the local gentleman’s bar for “1″ drink. I actually did only have 1 drink THERE. Does that count? No? Didn’t think so. Because it was then decided that the bar we were at was to boring and we needed a better one so we were going to one close to my house. So away we went. It was ladies night, so drinks were extremely cheap. The DJ is a friend of mine, so it was no time until he announced my presence as “Hey Minerva is here and she’s getting married!”. Next thing you know, I have divorced men and strippers either telling me to run for the hills, don’t do it! or congratulating me. EEEK!
We ended up getting home around midnight. It really was a fun evening and I had a great time with friends and family. I’m really lucky to have such great people around me to make sure my night is special. Thanks girls!
P.S. Thanks honey for the midnight run for food
